Original Beans Congo Cru Virunga 70% cacao

Very smooth and flavorful chocolate. Quite different from other bars from Africa. Subtle cherry flavor, very faint, and a thin line of nutmeg flavor. No bitterness and a nice finish. 8.9

From the label:
"From the ground-up, Original Beans has developed this first-ever single-origin cacao from war-torn Eastern Congo. We help farmers to rebuild their livelihoods and communities and protect Virunga National Park, Africa's oldest nature reserve and home of the last Mountain Gorillas on earth.

"The rainforest influences the flavor of this chocolate most vividly. You can taste the richness of the soil, the shade of neighbouring trees, and the diversity of wildlife."
