Chapon Vietnam 73% cacao

This bar is fairly bitter on initial tasting. The flavors underlying this are a a buttery toffee taste and a roasted element akin to burnt sugar. The aftertaste is moderate, with the bitterness tapering off. 7.7

The most significant aspect of Chapon bars is the beautiful wrapper design. The previous bar reviewed here from this company was Chapon Madagascar 75% cacao, which also has a nice design.

Baiani Brazil 70% cacao

This bar has a buttery aspect with a distinct caramel flavor. There is also some fig texture and taste. The aftertaste is clean and tapers nicely. 8.9

Dandelion Columbia Tumaco 2021 Harvest 70% cacao

This bar has an earthy opening with some mushroom notes, and some smokiness. It is a little bitter but not excessive. The aftertaste is moderate and not too bitter. 8.2
