Fairly bitter, but full of flavor. The bitterness shows up most in the aftertaste, which borders on the metallic. The flavor has cherry and citrus components. Overall, an interesting mix with something for everyone. 7.7
From the label: "Maya Mountain Cacao ferments and dries beans purchased from over 200 small farmers in Southern Belize. Unseasonal rains delayed this shipment, but batch 2 has finally arrived! This time around, Greg detects a green grape start before the signature notes of pineapple and honey, followed by a slightly tangy finish."
