This is tough love -- the taste is robust and persistent. A long, lingering after taste that is full of warmth and excitement. A musky flavor, similar to moist oak, lingers as the chocolate melts in your mouth. 7

Second tasting: Michel Cluizel 1er Cru de Plantation "Mangaro" 65% cocoa
Second tasting: (see also http://chococheck.blogspot.com/2008/04/michel-cluizel-1er-cru-de-plantation_10.html )
Flavorful and nearly floral. Strong dose of mango and perhaps lime stands behind the gentle chocolate flavors. Very approachable, sweet, not bitter at all. 8

Hershey's Special Dark Mildly Sweet Chocolate
Very milky on entrance. You can tell it's "dark" rather than pure milk chocolate, but it is such a mild and sweet chocolate that the similarity to milk chocolate becomes apparent. It certainly can't be very high in cocoa content. Non-offensive, and pleasant enough. No flavors are apparent -- it's the simple stuff. 6
The Hershey's "Special Dark" website has a link to the "Extra Dark" Hershey's product, which is labeled at 60% cocoa. So "Special Dark" would likely have less cocoa content than this.
