Michel Cluizel 1er Cru de Plantation "Vila Gracinda" São Tomé 67% cocoa

This bar has a very different flavor profile from the other Michel Cluizel chocolates I've tasted. This one is much more nutty and there are, perhaps, some coffee elements. Not very bitter, but certainly tart. Quite a long aftertaste. 6.5

From the label:

"The birthplace of African cocoa in the 19th century, the island of São Tomé lies on the equator, of Central Africa.

"The cocoa beans from this fine plantation, grown on luxuriant volcanic soil in a marine climate, are exclusively sun-dried. They make this highly aromatic chocolate, whose exceptionally long taste combines toasted, spicy and herbaceous notes with flavours of ripe tropical fruit and liquorice sticks."
