Earthy flavors, fairly bitter, but an even drop-off and aftertaste. The label mentions almond and molasses flavors. I could imagine that the earthy flavors have a molasses aspect to it, though I am not tasting almond. This bar has a good balance for a high cacao bar. 8.2
