Cacao Hunters Columbia Rio de Oro 73% cacao

This bar is flavorful from first taste. Smooth and moderately bitter taste. Raspberry and honey flavors come to mind. Clean aftertaste. 9.4

This is a fairly pricey bar, which I purchased for $9 for a 28 gram bar, which is about $9 per ounce.

The "Best before" date marked on this bar was October 3018, but it does not seem to be degraded in any way in appearance or taste.

9th & Larkin Vietnam Tien Giang 70% Cacao

The mouthfeel for this bar is slightly grainy as it melts in the mouth. It has basic cacao flavors, with the sweetness of molasses. The aftertaste is clean and moderate in duration. 7.4

Clean, crisp taste. Faint maple notes are in front with faint cherry in the end of the flavor profile. The bar has a low bitterness and a short aftertaste. 8.9

Metiisto Solomon Islands Paspaskato 72% cacao

There is a crisp snap to this Australian made bar. As it melts in the mouth, caramel flavor emerges. There is very low bitterness but also little sweetness. Well made, but basic chocolate. 7.8

Toffee and caramel are at the front of this bar's flavors. More sweet than bitter, with a clean aftertaste. 8.2

Fairly bitter for a 70% bar. On the tart side too. Raisin and cherry flavors can be tasted. There is a lengthy aftertaste, but fairly clean. 8.4
