Flavorful and sweet, as I have come to expect from well made Belize-origin chocolate. Flavors that come to mind are cherry, butterscotch, toast. Smooth aftertaste. Very nice! 9.8
From the label: "Along the foothills of the Maya Mountains in southern Belize, indigenous Mayans were the first to commercialize cacao and their tradition continues today. In the most ambitious cocoa cooperative project ever, Maya Mountain Cacao diversified agroforestry farms provides a sustainable alternative to slash-and-burn agriculture. The cooperative has raised family incomes and enabled greater school enrollment. The chocolate we make from their certified heirloom cocoa beans has bright tropical fruit flavors, a mild nuttiness, and a touch of cream in the finish."
